How many shovels are you saving for Act 2?

Hmm, thanks for bringing that up. I feel like I'm doing exceptionally well at digging so I may win all prizes like halfway through? I might do that.

By the time I've finished Act 1 I'll probably have 199 ready for Act 2.

One would assume that the shovels would carry over. Unless EA switches the shovels to something like brushes since the next phase is Egypt and brushes could be used to remove sand.

I will go for all the prizes first before any hoarding takes place.

Interesting thought. It never really crossed my mind...I just thought that the shovels would carry over! We'll have to ask LPN if they do or not!

And the pirate phase could be something like scuba tanks too. But I would highly doubt EA changes the shovels.

I will start saving shovels once I have all the prizes. It should delay my want to spend donuts on shovels.

I don't think the shovels will change - otherwise there's no point in having such a large reserve possible. What I wonder is whether any excess gems you get in the first act will be credited towards the second act, or will you start from scratch again?

I'm planning on digging until I get the 48 gems. I figure by then, we will have an answer on whether it is wise to save shovels.
