Really? That seems unlikely. Since they added all the new tasks, I have yet to find a taskable character that doesn't have a 1, 4, 8, 12, and 24 hour task.
Uter.
They forgot to give Uter a 4 hour task. I even double checked the list lpNintendo made. He's not on there in the 4 hour section.
Stampy doesn't have a solo 12 hour task either.- This new feature also sends characters out on the wrong tasks. I say wrong because it should send them out on the X hour task that pays the most. Like all those stone cutters should be having a quick drink at the lodge when everyone is sent out on 1 hour task.. Plus several other issues regarding premium payout tasks. Everyone that has a premium payout task that isn't a premium character doesn't get sent on their premium task. This defeats the purpose of this feature to take the place of us sending everyone out manually on said X duration tasks.

After clearing my town this morning, everyone (everyone!) was "waiting for something to do" ...
After clearing my town this morning, my task book was -- literally -- empty. Like, the number "0" (Get Guiness)
After clearing my town this morning, the whatchamacallit buildings in SH (Stor, Pharmaceutical, etc.) all had available tasks.
I wanted to send my characters on 4-hour jobs,
My Job Manager offered me 76 spots for 4-hour jobs. I assigned those. (The results showed that whether or not a character had a SH job didn't matter -- see below)
My Job Manager then offered me 42 spots for 1-hour jobs. I assigned those. (Same result regarding SH jobs)
My Job Manager THEN offered me "no jobs available" for 8-hours, 12-hours and 24-hours jobs
I assigned the remaining, available Springfield Heights workers -- Grampa, Snake, Bumblebee Man, Brockman, Dr. Hibbert
The remaining 25 characters still Unassigned by Job Manager were:
Fat Tony
Rod
Todd
Shauna
Dolph
Barney
Kirk
Lampwick
Kang
Gino Terwilliger
Laura Powers
Duffman
Dr. Nick
Jessica Lovejoy
Uter
Luigi
Ned
Miss Krabappel
Database
Matt Groening
Miss Hoover
Janey
Jimbo
Michael D'Amico
Greta Wolfcastle
So:
It DEFINITELY does not matter whether a character has a task of that length.
It does not matter what level the character was released:
Michael D'Amico and Homer were assigned. Grampa, Ned were not.
It does not matter whether or not a character is premium:
Shauna, Miss Springfield was assigned. Dr. Nick and was not.
It does not matter whether a character is freemium:
Helen Lovejoy was assigned ... Fat Tony was not.
It does not matter whether or not a character has tasks available in SH:
Reverend Lovejoy was assigned by Job Manager; Luigi was not.
This is unrelated to whether or not tasks in the recycle centers are still available.
Jesse and Hippie were assigned; Uter was not.
NOTE: All of my limited-time characters were assigned. I don't know if it's coincidence this time.
So what the heck order are these 'send all' tasks assigned?
Not in a box.
Not with a fox.
Not in a house.
Not with a mouse.

This can be fixed.
Select each character and put them in their preferred skin. Check that they are now wandering around in that skin if you feel the need to.
Note - you only have to do this ONCE.
Now use the job manager and they'll go do the task for the skin you put them in.
I've tried this today, specifically with my Stonecutters - it works great.- Sometimes you are just going to lose.
Example: Kirk in my A-town gets sent overnight on the 8 hr job at the Cracker Factory instead of his 12 hr. Why? Because the $$ are the same but the XP pays more! 105 vs 100 XP base.
Of course if you care about that little thing you aren't going to use the JM anyway. :) wildminion wrote:

There seems to be a lot of content that swaps them off of the premium skins am I going to have to flip through every one every time to make sure they are in the premium skin first? Or does the task manager remember that I want them in their premium tasks and always sends them on the premium tasks going forward?- DigitalBagginsNew NoviceGreat work figuring out the glitch.
Another pathetic attempt at adding a potential new feature. had the studio used testing you would have discovered the glitch and you could have fixed it before you released it. But as always the studio dropped the ball again..... not to mention screwing the games of quite a few people and screwing them out of their purchases.
I'm on Android so add me to list that it does not work correctly.... - ... Android here to. Fix the Job Manager on Android!!!

Until you do a round of crafting and they revert to their default skin. That's one of the nuisances of crafting, having to stop and change to premium / humorous activity skins when you get finished crafting for the day and send them back on the regular task rounds. - wadebearRetired Hero

I have been corrected. Uter has a 4 hour task with Otto. Since I don't have Otto yet, I didn't know that.
