Krustyland, should I bother?

No, you're not looking at it wrong. Do KL only if you're really bored and got nothing better to do on TSTO. When I did it, there was no real urgency and checked it always as an afterthought. Being able to have palm trees on your SF beach is a nice perk to look forward to though, just keep that in mind.

There are rare donuts under the balloons of Sideshow You, yes. In my opinion, this is the only reason to pay any attention to krustyland, it's not terribly exciting otherwise. It took me months to build everything because I only sent characters there if I had to. Being out of other things to do seems like a good time to start, though. It is, after all, new stuff to do.

do it only if you've got all buildings on SF you need. Do NOT start it before that because it's not worth it to spend time there till u do that.
Also the way i see it is: build the shuttle, just barely start the quest to get to like part 3-4. and then stop. why?
If they release something on events (like the Elf thing on xmas) you may not be able to buy it due to KL not built!

Thank you, this has been really helpful. I didn't realize there were decorations I could only unlock in KL, and other items that I need to have it running to have available to me. Interesting....

Personally, I'm kind of fond of KL, although part of that is because of its potential. It would easily be expandable to incorporate other theme parks: Itchy & Scratchy Land, the Land of Chocolate, Praiseland, Duff Gardens, the Incan pyramid from El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Jomer, renaissance fair tents, the Burns Casino (it'd be a good place for it, because space is at a premium in many peoples' Springfields).

I'm hoping that if the stability issues that people have had get fixed, there might be more development.

I started working on Krustyland and Squidport at the same time, im still not done with main quest, but I still go collect tickets every hour when I retask the springfield...I like Krustyland a lot!!! Im loving the whole game honestly!! I keep building and building and gaining more money, ive leveled up to 38 kinda put tasking characters out to KL on hold though cause Valentines Event coming up and I needed money for my Duff Racer but id suggest going to your neighbors KL's and gather up tickets cause they seem to be very helpful especially in the beginning!!

If you got a few buildings for Krustyland and 50K wouldn't hurt you. Just open it open it and place the buildings.

Let the buildings generate ticket. Only bring characters over when you have a KL quest. It will be slow but it will not take any real effort and just stop by twice a day to collect tickets.

I finished my KL back when it look like it was going somewhere. now I'm sitting on 300K tickets which I can use if KL gets hot again or convert to cash.

To me, KL is a nice distraction when I've really got nothing else to do in my town. I send a few folks over to do some tasks and steadily work on it, but it's nothing I put a ton of time into.

im surprised so many of you are down on KL.

it's just another segment of the game. i don't understand why you wouldn't play it. consider it a sub-game maybe. it has its own tasks. it's much more complex than the squid port.

i personally like it because it has allowed me to pace myself in the SF thread. I've only been playing since this past October but I'm already at level 38. My tasks are only about level 30. But all i read here are complaints from people maxed out that new levels don't come fast enough. So I'm in no rush to get to the end and join the waiting game for new releases.

i also like KL because you can be as creative as you want, and have a mostly complete build as a free player. the rates seem more reasonable.

I'm saving to build the last free item, the Tooth Chipper, right now. When I'm done, I'll post pics on the forum here and maybe it will inspire some folks to give KL a chance. i really liked building my KL. i wish i could visit it!
