Are you sure there's no fighter involved? My ship's also in battle mode most of the time, but just because the unemployment office automatically sends Christmas Tree Ralph there. And just like Lyla Ralph has no battle animation... but at least when his job is done, the ship gets to rest.
No, I assure you once I send fighters to it and then collect them from the job it will not land. Even switching the skins is ineffective. I’ve tested it by storing it then sending only Jesus to heal it and then upon completion of the task the ship continues to spin and fire away as if it’s being attacked. Only by storing it and re-placing it does it land. And when it’s stored Lyla’s task is visually animated and when placed back in town her zen action is hidden somewhere in the ship.
