I'm thinking that the whole motivation behind this brazen move is to grab as much cash as quickly as possible, because I am sure there is a ticking clock on how long these people would have been able to operate. I am sure EA hasnt been letting this go, as this business must be eating into their profits. It is only a matter of time before there is some type of court action, and the people behind Gamezino know this. They will make as much as they can, hide their money and take up residence in some country where the U.S. Legal system cannot reach them, if they have not already.
I'm fairly sure that there are no countries where US doesn't have extradidion treaties anymore. The only way they could get away with it would be claiming asylum and it would be unlikely that Gamezino would recieve asylum in any country for crimes of this nature.
Here is a list of Coutries that have no extradition treaty with the USA...
Bhutan
Botswana
Brunei
Burkina Faso
Burundi
Cambodia
Cameroon
Canada (Canada maintains an extradition treaty with the caveat that any persons extradited will not be subject to the death penalty. The Conservative government under Stephen Harper reversed this position, but the Supreme Court of Canada has placed this reversal in a state of legal uncertainty.)
Cape Verde
Central African Republic
Chad
China
Comoros
Djibouti
Equatorial Guinea
Ethiopia
Gabon
Guinea
Guinea Bissau
Indonesia
Iran
Ivory Coast
Jordan
Kuwait
Laos
Lebanon
Libya
Madagascar
Mali
Maldives
Mauritania
Mongolia
Morocco
Mozambique
Nepal
Niger
Oman
Qatar
Russia
Rwanda
Samoa
Sao Tome e Principe
Saudi Arabia
Senegal
Somalia
Sudan
Syria
Togo
Tunisia
Uganda
United Arab Emirates
Vanuatu
Vietnam
Yemen
Yemen South
Zaire
Then why didn't Snowden just leave the Russian Airport or go one of these countries?
Clearly there is an international agreement of some kind.
Because Snowden would only be relatively safe being protected by another (semi) Super Power. It's not just the U.S. legal system that wants Snowden, it's the U.S. Government and all it's entities, NSA, CIA, etc...
If Snowden leaves the protection of a country like Russia, he is likely to be either killed or kidnapped by some clandestine representative of the USA.
Edit - or a drone, for that matter
