And I love the Octoparrot, shame he's not a playable character though, would love to send him on a play date with Osaka seafood concern Squid.

@simpsonare Reboot your device and search for it manually. Or clear your cache and look again.

@simpsonare my play store also shows that old, dec 11 info. But under My Apps & games it shows updated 3 day ago, albeit with the old description.

Yeah, they didn't get added back with the store update or at the start of the event so hopefully they'll return with a patch update or at the end of the current event.

I'm surprised that the Yupprechaun and Shame Rock Café are not in the yearbook. We haven't had a new NPC since Snowball I was added over a year ago.

Solved*

There has historically often been issues between the game and newer Samsung devices @simpsonare, a quick wander around "Bugs and Issues" tab should throw up plenty of these. I don't know whether they have all been solved in subsequent updates, maybe Samsung are just ahead of the curve with their development?

Try looking on "Answers EA" to see if anyone else has the same issue, if not you'll need to raise it with them directly.

Send that S7 back and get an iPad if you want a tablet that handles the game well and is super responsive. I've got an ole iPad Mini 2 and it works great with the game.
I'm also playing on a cheap Lenovo tablet - it's OK, but not nearly as nice as the iPad. Not as responsive and lags when you've got a lot of characters on visible tasks.
But even my old Fire tablet is passable for playing. It's not quite as good as the Lenovo, I'd say 10% slower, but it gets the job done even though I have almost all the land and hundreds of buildings. It's slow to collect from a bunch of buildings, but still...
