Nuking your town ?

I have nuked an old side town of mine. It was around level 350, about a year ago ,I got so frustrated and overwhelmed with the rebuild that I ended up abandoning the town. It was a whole lot more work than I anticipated. I planned on going back to it at some point and fixing it up a little bit at a time, but just the thought of it scares me.

I will never do it again I would reccomend trying to do a small section of your town at a time, using the area select tool. If you have any other questions or if I can be of any further assistance, let me know or PM me.

Like others said it becomes overwhelming. I have to ignore the voices in my head telling me to nuke. Best to do is to use the area move tool.
Its very frustrating digging items out of storage.

Anyway, instead of nuking, I instead just went on a storage spree, packing away all the elements that were annoying me. Slowly I began putting things back in a logical way that meant in a day I had my town back to the way I wanted it.

The search function on the board only searches for things from Sept 2016 and earlier. The OP wouldn't have seen your post. Although there 693 results that came up from before Sept 2016, so I guess we should never have another post about nuking.

As for the OP's question, I would never nuke my main town. I also nuked a side town that was around level 350 and will not put it together. If you have lots of time and patience, then it may be worth it. There are people that have done it and have been happy with the results. It really depends on you.

I have to admit I've never nuke my town and all I ever done is just move the stuff around even before the move tool came out, I just enjoy the game like that because it's keeps me thinking what to do with other designs.

i'll be nuking one of my towns when the next land release comes out

main advice is have an idea of what you want
i.e the parts of your town you are happy with at the moment take screenshots so you can replicate it

also once nuked get all buildings/decos from a certain group out of storage and put them together at the bottom of your screen. for example if you want to make a Town Dump area then take out any recycling depots/trash/bins/trucks/etc from storage and put then next to each other. that way when you do get around to making that particular bit you know all the items you need to include in your design

Horrible, phone wrecking things. Reminders to put my pants on. I spent hours placing bushes only to realize only minutes have passed, then spent minutes playing only to play throughout the day, through the movie, through the pointless turn table that is life.

Learn to love yourself and your town, do not commit the sin of jealousy, coveting your neighbors town. It spirals out of control until your only ally is the heartless shadow of a half eaten lamp, or you know, complete your toe.

If your town is a high lvl and planning to nuke, it's worth it if you have the time. And I'm talking 30 hours in-game to get it all done, seriously.

Your town will look amazing if you're a designer, but damn it takes so long.

After the THOH event, I do plan to smooth out my town and design with a strong plan in mind.

When I started, I placed buildings willy-nilly, and really had no design plan in mind. The longer I play the game, the more I start thinking "this building should be here, make sure these buildings are together, etc."

I hope to have a dedicated town design when all is said and done.
