- Im neutral on a monorail but I really want more land. With the constant instability issues that this last update brought I'd hate for something to make it even less playable. It sounds like it could be as annoying as arnie pye in the sky. Which looked cool the first few times but now annoys me as I traverse my town. I just want more land and houses. Signature houses...

I think monorail is a great idea, at least something completely different and new. For all those who don't want it, maybe EA will add a switch to turn it invisible or something like that. It would make sense, because it would really disturb the playing.
So you think something which you have no idea how it will be implemented is an unqualified "great idea?" I hope it's like squidport and you get one small piece of track every 3 days. There will be tons of threads about what a "great" idea it was then...
I agree that it should be put together piece by piece, but it will be hard to play when the rails are in front of any character doing a task. So i just think there should be a way to "remove" it while you're playing.
Anyway, I'm just excited about that it's something completely different.
Listen to you idiots, it's a great idea but it'll be hard to select things behind it..... Maybe if we could make it invisible it would be a good idea.
and yes I can call you idiots because it is true after reading your post so you can't be offended because it's true. Don't believe me? Reread ^^^^- For all you guys know, the Monorail could be a stationary item. There's nothing stating its gonna be a moving train with us having to buy the pieces. As of right now, none of us know exactly how it would be implemented.
Heck I'd be happy if it was stationary. Just as long as it comes with Lyle Lanley
And for those of you that don't want it, simply don't buy it. No one is forced to buy the Squidport Entrance or Krustyland shuttle. - blackgryphon999912 years agoSeasoned Novice

One episode should not implement an item that potentially could go around your entire Springfield PERIOD.
Yes it will be either way too big and we will have to rearrange our whole town, or; it will be ridiculously small for what it's supposed to be, like the mall. If anyone can suggest how it would be different and not a huge PITA, I'd like to hear it.
I was actually thinking about this in the middle of the night last night... It would only take two pieces: one straight and one curved. The curved piece would have to rotate in four directions, like fences do. Then you could make whatever layout you wanted/needed. And if you didn't want to have it, you could simply elect not to use it! hasanmohamma wrote:
I am thinking that EA will add the SF Monorail this year in 2014! They already kind of hinted that they will add the SF Monorail at some point in the New Years storyline. I for one would love to have the SF Monorail in My SF, I actually think it's a very good idea! I also don't think EA will make the SF Monorail as a premium item because that just won't be fair to a lot of players especially the players who don't purchase donuts. The only way I could think of how EA would implement the Monorail is to make it as an expansion update for the game just like SP & KL :D
1500+ post, saying everything is a great idea from EA, must be a Employee or is a spouse of a person who works there.
So yet another invalid/meaningless opinion.- Say it with me. Monorail.
- It seems there are widely diverse visions of how the monorail will be implemented. Some (perhaps including the OP) seem to believe it will be simply inserted (imposed?) Into every town, the same as we currently all have the mountain range, and their concern seems to be that if this is a dynamic (e.g. "animated") feature similar to, say the falling leaves or snow, it will slow all the games.
If THAT is what EA has in mind, I share their concerns.
However, my assumption was that they would offer an object or series of objects we can add to our own towns (I'm picturing my old Lionel train set from half century ago I bet you think I'm kidding)
If it IS something to be automatically added to every town's graphics, I hope that it is either not animated, or that the animation can be toggled on/off. - Then again it may just be a station in town that goes to Shellbyville or Capital City. Of course to follow the plot line, we would be required to invest (lose) all our cash to set it up

Ditto! If you don't like it, don't buy it!
Nice New year photo you have!- Why couldnt the monorail just be one big giant expensive item like the popsicle stick skyscraper and the escalator to nowhere. Its not like stuff in the town is to-scale anyway.
