I don't blame you, I'm getting a bit sick of this weather lol

It's supposed to rain here tomorrow, so we hid easter eggs around the living room. That can't possibly end in disaster. :P

And this is why I'm glad we've outgrown egg hunts. At 10, he just gets a basket.

Our next door neighbor brought over a little Easter basket her 5 year old had made for our son (she calls him her 'boyfriend'....it's kind of still cute at that age) and her mother said "I had to work today so we are doing our egg hunt tomorrow in the backyard since she couldn't go to any today".

I told her "do you know there is a 70% chance of rain tomorrow?" She looked surprised (why do people never check the weather????) So I suggested to her that she hide the eggs inside.

    Inside lol.

I suspect that will not end well either.

I have visions of things crashing to the floor as the child looks behind them because she could have sworn the eggs were put there.

I work Wednesday to Sunday regardless of holidays. And, it's not a paid holiday at my work. Jesus' birthday (Christmas) IS a paid holiday, but the day he rose from the dead to save our souls from eternal damnation IS NOT!!! I just don't get it.

Same, I don't think Sunday is ever a public holiday...I normally work Sun to Thurs

I understand a regular Sunday not being paid time and a half, but this is Easter. It should count!!!

....we get double time for Sundays...

But it's not double time and a half like other public holidays, or triple time like Xmas day & good friday....guess I shouldn't complain next to you, huh?

Lol yeah I guess. I'm really just happy to have a job. Could be way worse!!! :D

Yeah, that's right. Our economy in Australia has held up fairly well, so we got off easy, I reckon.
  • I believe it only the tourism that saved Australia. Cuz unemployment is at a new record.

Our 2 year old opened the fridge, got a chair, and pinched some chocolate eggs off the top shelf, the cheeky monkey!

That was 2 days ago, so he got less chocolate today, and no hunt.

Not tourism, no way. Tourism might have helped the Goldie, but the main thing keeping the rest of Australia stronger was mining, and exporting the raw materials to China.

    Oh my goodness!

LOL that chocolate must have been really good. I would have been like "Was it worth it?" I don't they are ever too young to start reasoning with them and teaching them about consequences.

I can honestly say that our child has never gotten anything he wasn't supposed to get. Even now, at 10, he will ask before getting something from the kitchen. It's always yes but he's learned it is just best to ask.

Hmm, our little boy seems to think it's better to beg forgiveness than ask permission. He's too much like me!
