I believe this has been answered in at least two other threads. Akira can make them.

I checked, but the other threads only mention that Akira can make more AFTER his quest line is completed. Since this task is during his quest line, I can only assume he can't make more at this point. But I will give it try

I have currently produced 2 Bonsai trees and I'm still not done with his quest line.You just gotta do his 12 hour task 3 times in a row to get an extra tree. You can generate as many trees as you like.

1 time i recive also nothing, i store my 1st bonsai and put back when the task ask for 3 bonsai, with this action it was 1 of 3 on the task and i did 3 times plant, prune... 36h and just have my 2nd

As I said above, when I completed the tasks (all 3) it said that the bonsai was in my inventory. When I went to check it wasn't. If you get that message and the bonsai does not appear, then you may have the glitch. Like SamCarterX206 says above, make sure you have done all 3 parts.

Perhap's it's EA's way of sneakily getting people to fall in the trap of spending donuts. It should be more transparent. Fortunatey I checked the forum first.
