The moat surrounding my town is just getting ever bigger as I buy up more land in preparation. I love how my town progressed and grew through the beginning stages, but it definitely needs an entire redesign soon. Once the thaw hits, I'll put everything in storage and start from scratch. It just feels like such a huge job though so I'll have to set aside some time for it. It'll be a few weeks yet I should imagine.
Sonny - I've been working on storing things since this morning! Of course it wasn't all at once but it took me the entire day to put it all away. So it is a massive undertaking. Wait till you see the moat I have planned heheheh.
I'm loving the stability, may not put as many decorations back up with the remodel.lissarv68 wrote:

I actually was collecting coins during your tear down today. When I first entered I found a vast wilderness and no coin houses. Had to come back 20 minutes later, suddenly all kinds of houses were there :-)
I admire your effort, i like lots if bits of my town but can't quite get myself to remove all the decorations. Just moving a single hedge invader the other day was stressful enough :-)mike_bornste wrote:
I have a grand vision in my head to completely redesign my town, in a really civil planning way, kind of like Paris.
Town Hall smack dab in the middle, with a grand park; all the commercial stuff in the ring around it; with all the houses on the outside of that in distinct suburbs; the prison and power plant far on the outskirts.
Great minds think alike :) That was my plan when I redesigned my town this weekend, but I ended up making the school and an adjoining park as my town center. My houses radiate out from that point. I also have a little oceanfront shopping district which leads to my downtown where the townhall will be located (wiill get that in the next 24 hours).- i only moved the school.
Other things i'm planning to do is store the brown house farm (6 houses) for coins when the coins are gone.
i don't really like do redesign with all the snow. dirklance81 wrote:
Lissa I feel your pain!! Takes eons to store even just one highly detailed building. Multiples really suck!! It was weird, I was like, wtf I thought I went to lissa's?! Exited before even looking to see whose SF I was at. Went into yours and was like hmmm. Obvi before I read this. Let me just say its hard to remember everything, but I thought your 'Camp' was awesome and should be cast in the sequel. I wanted to go to that camp next summer if I could convince my parents 20 years ago!! I see where burns manor is slated, and I like it Holmes! Have even more anticipation to check in on ya now neighbor! Take your time and spare no expense!
The camp has relocated to the upper right corner in anticipation of Kamp Krusty and me getting the sign.
I've mostly finished the redesign. I'm not happy with my houses but ran out of room and inspiration lol. I haven't put the majority of my decorations back but you can't tell lol. It's helped with the crashing but now I'm crashing when I go to the inventory. May have to sell some of that back.
Thank you for the comments!- Lissa, your town looks great, the new layout is very cool! I was doing my neighbor rounds yesterday and I figured you were in the midst of a grand redesign. I am going to start my major tear down tomorrow night or Friday, so my town will look pretty naked for a day or so. I think I am going to start getting rid of my purple house extravaganza today though, just leaving enough to get my neighbors through the last call for coins.

Thank you.
I was going for a New Orleans feel with all the canals and the town center with the statue.
I will be watching as events unfold in your town!dirklance81 wrote:
Dude...buddy...brah...
That freaking government plot is freaking BOSS!!! I love that shi... I recommend not putting the fences back there, it looks great open square like. Freaking BOSS. Best town hall I've seen yet. There is one thing, I think you should have two bridges on west side main entrance. One for in one out of the government beltway. Know u goin for Orleans, but immediately I think DC riding by government buildings around patomac like Jefferson memorial and shi.. That might be biased (actually, is biased) cus I live in MD and never been to LA, but either way... BOSS. Glad camps there, also best rendition.
Keep it up! Your inspiration should reside solely in my enjoyment, bwahaha hahahha. Thus, you have a muse again.. ;). Do the damn thing!
Lmao! This made my morning thank you lol.
Did you see the two bridges into the town center on the left?
And it does rather resemble DC. I live in Virginia so may have drawn inspiration from their too without realizing it.- The looks great Lissa!

I started a redesign on my town also but I regret it now because I got lazy and now I dont want to do it because I'm not liking anything I come up with, im stuck.
Dude! That happened to me! Half way through I wanted to smack myself upside the head and ask what on earth was I thinking? Such an undertaking! So tedious!
Then I got lost halfway through and couldn't remember where I had wanted to put things. It was such a mess, my housing district is still a mess because I ran out of ideas.
I suggest drawing things out before starting otherwise you wind up with a nightmare.
All I knew was that I wanted a canal down the middle of my town that surrounded the town center. I had an idea of wanting a West and East Bank (like New Orleans) but I had intended on making the West side like the French Quarter and the East side like the industrial/factory region. Just didn't wind up that way but I'm really happy with the results (glares at houses....except for them).....so it's all good.
