I wasn't as close as you but I was disappointed the new update stopped me in my tracks. So close...

- So, you were robbed because you didn't make the present bonus in time? That's not anyone's fault, it's just bad luck.
As for not getting the other prizes, that is getting robbed. Sucks too, I'm sorry about that. - If the stupid game hadn't ignored 64 of my presents at the beginning of the bonus bit, I'd have succeeded in getting whatever the bonus was.
That's what's really ticking me off! - If you were visiting friends and collecting presents when you hit 14000, you could easily go 64 presents over the goal. Then when you returned to Springfield and collected your prize, the bonus counter started. Funny how EA can get prizes to trigger at a set amount but not the bonus. Breeding confusion and resentment by pulling stunts like this only alienates the players you are trying to get money from. Smooth move EA.

That kinda makes it worse. I feel sorry for kids playing this and having this happen to them.
Hopefully EA will wake up to these things and rectify for future events!
