Try using an apple device. That worked for me
That's not a possibility for 99% of the players. "Apple devices" are expensive and usually are not just 'laying around' for the taking.
Device with 2GB of RAM and more than 50GB of free space and this update is crashing every single time. Before that, no issue whatsoever.
I already suffered with EA support through that 'parasite building' fiasco, not going to go through that again. If by monday they didn't fix this, I'm uninstalling for good - and I've been playing this since 2012!- 4junk3000New Spectator

Dude. Get off your high horse. I dont need your lecture. Ive also been playing since the beginning, im well aware ipads arent just lying around, and I was just as stressed this morning as anyone else about being locked out
But unlike everyone else telling ppl to pointlessly reinstall and delete apps, I found a real solution. I borrowed a cracked screen ipad from a friend just for a couple days, and confirmed that I can now log in. Now I wont fall behind; and c an take advantage of the donut glitch. Ive spent hours tonite PMing ppl to help them with this, accepting requests and setting up my own town to benefit neighbors. I didnt have to do any of this. I could have kept my discovery to myself.
If you dont wanna play anymore, dont let the door hit you on the way out. But dont vent your frustration with this game on ME while im offering a possible solution when there's none coming from anywhere else. - There are also Apple devices with this problem. No holy grail here. Game crashes when switching from splash screen to your town. But most users who reported have problems with fire and android. Got the problem too and using an emulator not to get to far behind.
- mikepellerin60Seasoned NewcomerStill not fixed for Fire. Did a fresh D&R, still crashes at Splash Screen.
EDIT 12/14: Was able to get in by installing Bluestacks on my Computer and loading the game from the Play Store. That's still not a resolution for a "mobile" game though. - This issue has just started for me today (16th December here in Australia). No updates waiting in store, no idea why it's suddenly started. The bugs do get a little tiresome after all these years :|
- Same here. Played game this morning before update. Downloaded update now it crashes while loading and can't get in
- 11EEveyHero+how much RAM does it have? That's a pretty old tablet isn't it. Might be too close with the RAM
You could try a completely fresh install if you have an account - Same here. This morning, when I tried to get in my game before work I got the "Man I hate this screen", and has to uninstall and reinstall again, and download took around half an hour.
- I tried a really old device earlier and couldn't download the game as it wasn't compatible, way too old in other words. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. Holiday Wheel or what?
