Just so you Americans know, many many people in the UK are happy that we let you go, personally I'm too young to say I agree but that's partly why the jokes used. Lets be honest here all countries have massive flaws but the US is the country where the show is set, obviously this is why they joke about you. It would be out of place if they joked about Australians for instance wouldn't it. Just be happy you get an event wholly centered around one day, no one else in the world will get a day so be happy.
Anyway, do you think english are happy that Americans seem to believe we're all posh and spend thousands thinking about our teeth and shouting certain terms at people, not really. You're happy to laugh when Irish are classed as drunks( flanagons) but can't take it yourself.

Now I'm not saying anything bad about Americans, I've gained a new found increase in respect for Lisa after what she just revealed, though you're country is flawed( as snowden proved) just like everyone else's.
