Springfield's Orientation (North, South, East, West)
Voted A. The only mountains I ever lived close by were the Alps and they were in the north.

The corners are n, e, s, w so the sides should be NE, SE, SW, NW if you start and the top corner and follow clockwise. So the sea is SW and the mountains are NW.
I just figure there are 4 sides to the town, each can represent a direction. Seems to be over-complicating things (to me), but for Piper and Hank, something like this?

Better? :wink:- What a funny topic! I just started using cardinal directions during the Christmas event to keep track of where the elf tunnels were in my neighbors' towns. (for those tunnels that were hidden far from the cannon.) I called the water south, so I guess I've been using "B."

Option C! I use this one too :)- Gotta love a forum where we debate the geographic orientation of a town in a game based on a show famous for its indeterminate location. I actually mean that: I gave this topic too much consideration when I was plotting the way a river would flow in my town. I decided on a compromise and made it all windy.

Meaning would people in the western hemisphere would choose A more and people win the eastern hemisphere would choose B or the other way around.....
- Honestly, I've always viewed the directions as this:
• Mountains
• Opposite of mountains
• Water
• Opposite of water
No one would ever be confused by this.
