Stolen Springfield

Contact EA, seems your account was compromised. I think they somehow got your password, logged in and changed the email/account name.
  • I just emailed them, and I am awaiting the reply. I have no idea how they would do that though...

Have your brother give you the exact account name. If you took any screen shots you could submit those that it used to be your town.
  • I sent them the exact name and a SS of my mayhem ID I had, I managed to log onto my Android device with my account and can access my springfield. the dude spent my 1.4mil and 18 donuts

Definitely change your password if you got back in!
  • If they changed the name how did your brother know which sf to log into? Like the others have said, send a ticket to ea but don't hold your breath. Download the origin client on a pc and try to log into it with your existing account info. If you can do that it means that your sf is probably still there because the town and the client should share passwords. It is entirely possible that you weren't actually hacked but for some reason you are being pointed to a different town. If you can get into origin on your p. change your password from there and that may "kick" the server to recognize your actual account. It's also possible you may try to log in tomorrow and your town will be sitting there the same as always, the servers suck sometimes and there's always people reporting logging into their towns and being in someone else's for seemingly no reason.

Whatever the case it will hopefully straighten itself out soon, but like I said, don't expect any timely help from ea.
  • I think it has happened to everyone once or twice...but it is usually a one time bug. You will log in and see that it is not your town. You log out and back in, and all is right with the world again. Yours is the first time I have heard of it staying that way...although unfortunately not the first time the person has spent all the money. On the bright side the people I have seen this happen to have been made somewhat whole again by EA support...eventually.
  • By logging into my Android device it recaptured my Springfield. My brother knew it was mine because he only has 5 friends including me and that name wasnt one of them. I've changed my origin password, now im stuck with an escalator to nowhere and have to remove a few dozen thanksgiving balloons, and a loss of 18 donuts
  • I'm also stuck with a couple dozen parade balloons, seems they cant be sold back...
  • Glad to hear you got it back. I know it sucks that someone spent your money and donuts, but on the brighter side it could have been way worse. Like I said above, it probably wasn't a hack, but other people have had strangers log into their town and delete all their stuff, so at least you got a little bit lucky there.
