- For all these benefits it'll be more than 2 cheap measly dollars a month.

That's what I was thinking, too. EA wouldn't do it for less than $10 and, considering the cost of premium items, that is probably still lower than what they would really charge.- I totally disagree with the idea that EA wouldn't jump at this. It costs EA nothing out-of-pocket, and represents guaranteed, automated income rather than hit-or-miss expenditures. There could be reasonable caps set on benefits, some program details that would give even more extra perks for one MORE dollar, special rates for annual contracts, yadda yadda.
Businesses understand spending habits, customer habits (like forgetting to track tiny automatic debits, and not getting around to canceling a subscription, long after they stop getting any use out of it.) Heck, cellphone companies give away free iPhones for a serviceplan.
Those of us who are careful with our money now won't be their target audience -- they'd get lots of people who might never spend $20 on a bunch of imaginary donuts but see a two-dollar expenditure every single month as noting at all.
If it were MY business, I'd do this in a flash. It is, literally, money in the bank. That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it. :) - EA charges $10-$12 per month for their subscription based game, depending on how many months you sign up for at one time. They don't think in single digit numbers.
- I think this is a FANTASTIC idea!!!
- With a life-to-date net profit of $100+ million, I doubt EA would change their system since it's working so well.
- The idea was for a subscription add-on, not changing TSTO to a subscription game. It's not clear from some of the responses if people got that point. I find the idea interesting and Annette's post compelling, but don't know enough about these kinds of things to have an opinion.
- Personally, I wouldn't do it just for in-game stuff that I can get in other ways - unless it's a particularly good deal (which I somehow doubt).
If it unlocked additional content - say, different decorations and character skins - then I might.
Business wise, it's a good idea though. Steady income is always welcome. - Good idea..... if they introduced it when game fist been launched, now it's a bit to late
If they do it now it wouldn't be fair for people who been buying donuts al the time.
We had to "juggle" real cash and donuts to make sure we'll get everything and that seems to easy... - Sorry I haven't responded timed the posting bad as Ijust flew out of town earlier and I'm using the trains free WiFi haha
I'm glad its liked and this is more of a response to people saying that the price needs to be 10 or so to cover the bonuses. My idea behind this is that if the cost is kept low while the gains are worthwhile people will be more tempted to opt in, 2 dollars is pocket change to most people whilst 10 or more isn't.
And if they could get just a small fraction to sub up to the game at say 10 000 people, that's still 20 000 extra profit a month. A nice sum for a mobile game to make for no real effort.
But it is just an idea from a fan who doesn't like the massive costs of donuts, but still would like plto put some money in, I play heaps and enjoy the game, I but scratch its every now and then but would love some more assecability to premium items without violating my wallet
