Sudden crashing going into design/inventory mode

I was having the same problem here. I could do everything except go into storage. I was eventually able to go into storage and store my monorail stations (last time I was crashing that fixed the problem). So, I was able to get into inventory at least once. I have the rail yard, so I'm set for the take down update. Right now, it seems to be working again.
