Anyways there are other ways to get donuts more quickly than the monorail like:
Find Maggie, Daily Challenges, bonuts from events and also from levelling up.
Also there is a chance to get like 10 or 30 donuts for free from Mystery Boxes. You can earn those mystery boxes for free by completing several daily challenges in a row.
Even if you don't get 10 or 30 donuts from the mystery boxes, especially there is a chance to win premium stuff from them. Most notably the squeaky voiced teen, lawyer and Kearney from them - all premium characters btw. I got all three of them for free myself via mystery boxes.
I personally gotten over 760 donuts currently using all these free methods without spending a single penny buying donuts.
I dunno...I get five donuts every two days or less, that's not slower than Maggie, and it doesn't charge me a crapton of IGC to pick a second box. In fact, I don't have to pick a second box at all. Sure you might get donuts from MBs, but it's far more likely with my luck I'd get endless Lard Lads.
And no. Monorail is continuous now.
