Yay for Doctor Who! Did you see Day of the Doctor at the cinema?
And yes. Christmas Day. Should be an interesting episode to say the least.
Kinda curious as a Brit, how popular is Dr Who abroad, I don't get it!
I'm also a Brit haha
But I have a lot of American friends who say it's gaining a heap of popularity over there, and is indeed crawling away from cult status to mainstream. Which is weird. Thinking of our lil' Time Lord that could being popular over there with all the huge Sci-Fi shows they have.
I think it's still a small cultish following here in the US.
The following is somewhat small for the US, but I've heard that there are actually more total people who watch it here than in Britain. There are so many people in the States that even a small percentage of the population is, well, a whole lot of people.
(I know very few people who don't watch Doctor Who, but I tend to associate with other sci-fi geek types.)fastdan1 wrote:

I'm waiting to see if they release a 50th anniversary boxset before I buy a copy. Great episode, though. My favourite.

I'm in New York. And I watched Doctor Who in the 80s. I used to love Sundays cause PBS would show all day marathons of it. My fav Doctor was #4 Tom Baker. I'm definitely still hooked on it, and glad more Americans are joining me.johncolombo wrote:
