This event is annoying

It's just the way it is mate. There's a lot more players that have been playing for a while than newer players so I guess they cater for that market more so.

I am on only friendship level 8 currently, so it's gonna be a long while until I complete the last FP level to start getting free donuts. I find getting 5000 FP's just to level up to the next FP level - FP level 9 - a real pain.

For you, your best bet would be using the xp multiplier with what ever donuts you receive. You'll level up faster.

When I started the Halloween event last year the only kid I had was Lisa. My advice: use those donuts to buy kids. Barney will be there when you've saved up enough. It took me quite a while to get him. And you never know, you might just catch him on sale...

This event is annoying for many high level players too but for other reasons.....

Your first event or two will always be tough. Do what you can but don't stress the Tenta Corp building. It's kinda neat looking but doest do anything except generate tax and doesnt hold significance from the show. Clockwork Bart is the best prize from Act 2 IMHO.

During an event, I'm not sure the XP multiplier is the best bet. I know during my first couple of events I was gaining XP but no cash. My level at the end of the event was always a couple ahead of my quest level.

Like everyone else has said, the first couple of events are always a grind. My first event was super hero's. I started the game in the middle. I was able to get radioactive man, fallout boy, a couple of skins and a couple of building. But it was a major grind. I was frantically trying to gain levels to get characters while at the same time trying to use those same characters for event purposes. I got Krusty just in time to use him to free radioactive man.

I wouldnt sweat it. I know the urge is to get every prize, but you'll enjoy the game more by just taking your time and enjoying the ride.

My first event was the Monorail, and I started during act 2, so I know what you mean. I didn't have Marge, Moe, or Bart until the third act. I would actually like to get the act 1 station....

Yep. Everyone's annoyed by something.

I personally am annoyed by how often people CREATE NEW USELESS THREADS about what annoys them. So we all have something to gripe about. Cool huh?

I started this game 3 years ago, in the middle of the Halloween event. I missed the last prize, which i believe was the alien squid looking KL ride. I've wanted that ride ever since. I understand your frustration

As a freemium, you really have to dedicate yourself to scheduled log ins, waking up at night, getting a full list of 100 neighbors, and being as scientific as possible about character assignments.

You'll get the hang of it. Just don't forget: it's a game, and none of this stuff is real. You can't take it with you, you can't hold it. You can only look at some pixels that represent your time and effort, and only for as long as EA allows it.

So don't let yourself get too annoyed. ;)

O...kay. I think most of us have played an event where we were new and therefore couldn't get much. For me it was Stonecutters. I literally started at Level 1, right when it was starting. It's perfectly normal. Just don't sweat this one and keep playing so you'll do better in the next event. :)
