- I lost 20 and thought I missed something, so glad I check here.
- mystery2miSeasoned NewcomerI really don't see how they can fix this properly because:
1. We have all lost varying amounts of donuts. Some haven't lost any. How would they know the difference?
2. Some of us (like me) have had their donuts replaced and others have not.
3. Most of us have earned donuts one way or another since this update was released, which means that if they decide to restore donuts to a previous point in time it would be inaccurate.
4. Many of us don't even know exactly how many donuts they had prior because they don't keep track. I only started to keep track during Tapball because I wanted to know how many bonuts I got.
When I talked to a rep via live chat, he wanted to know the exact amount that I had lost. I knew because I had been writing it down. He didn't request proof such as a screenshot, however I am starting to do that now in case they decide to revert the donuts to a preset point in time. I don't want to lose the 30 that I got from the MB this morning + a few others from neighbor visits. I did get my 45 donuts back but didn't get any extra for my troubles even though someone who was helped by the same person just minutes before me did. They must roll the dice to decide whether or not to give compensation donuts or even to just replace them.
There are way too many variables here to do a rollback or a patch. How would they know how many to credit? Just think how many po'd people there would be if they get less donuts than they had.
As posted above, they need to credit everyone with at least 200 donuts! :mrgreen: - mystery2miSeasoned Newcomer

They do keep a record of this stuff, I just think that most of them don't know how to access it.
So it should be fairly simple for the devs to write a routine to parse all our game databases and check for missing donuts. Bought + won - spent = number missing.
Interesting... I can't imagine them doing this for millions of players, though. Seems like it would take too long. - Personally, I'm amazed that this problem has gone on for so long now and we still don't seem to know what the exact cause is, other than its related to Springfield Heights...

Igot mine back and the ea support seemed able to access how many i should have had after i gave him my mayhem ID(see my earlier post) I dont think some of the support know about that. - wadebearRetired Hero

Your game database is updated every time you do anything. They could probably look at it and tell you what task every character is doing. A program to search everyone's database and come up with a missing donuts figure would probably only take a few seconds to run.
The rep who asked you how many donuts you lost didn't have time to sit there and add everything up in your database (if they knew how to call it up). - wadebearRetired Hero

Somehow the donut confirm option changed from yes to no. ? just earlier today my wife and I were commenting to each other how the confirm donut spend option has prevented us from losing a ton of donuts by quick tapping making chairs, coffee, rugs, etc. Arrrggghh!!!?
