I'm using mine but a reason to keep 8 spare is so you can immediately complete a Daily Casino Challenge (Play Casino Games ). It's not a big boost but it's something.
The other reason is that as far as we know, those tokens will be used for the other two gambling dens, later in the event, and there's always the possibility the payouts will be better on them.
Next UpRight, I'm going to spend some time doing some tapped out related Maths, where hopefully we can discover that it's possible to get all the Act I prizes without speeding-up, just as we've done for the Players Clubcard Prize Track.
