I have 100 friends, and I visit them all every day. Doesn't take that long, usually I keep my iPad next to me doing something else, like watching tv or so. Tap-tap-tap... Takes about 30 minutes to go through all.

Yes, but I had 20.000 when I wrote. Now 23.000.

For some reason I just had a surge of lock picks in the past hour or two. I could swear I was getting them way below 10% previously, but now it's at least that much. Maybe it's just luck, or maybe they adjusted something.

Anyway, my grand total after nearly two days is now 46 lock pics to 81 phones (about to go to bed, the morning will make it two days). It's still clear that I'll have way too many phones than I can use by the end of this, but if this rate continues then the lock picks might not be the toughest part after all.

My understanding is that the capes have always only come from the HQ. Likewise, handcuffs only come from defeating felons (the third time). Those are the only two things that aren't random.

Phones come from friend visits, and lock picks are from criminals in your own town, both randomly generated.

I think we only get capes from collecting from our own HQ every 4th h. :O

You completely missed the point: We have tons of extra phones, but not enough of the other ingredients necessary to use them.

But again, I'd rather too much than not enough.

Yeah I now have way too many phones as well after 1 full clearing of my friends list.

Been playing for a long while. I'm lvl 49 and for the most part during an event im a freemium player somewhat as I won't buy stuff like packs of candy or the event is card for 90 doughnuts.

I will splurge on charachters or premium items sometimes.

Now getting to the topic. Yes it helps to have a lot of friends during events or getting friend prizes faster.
That's why if you have a lot you just click all the stuff like in this event 3 phones 3 crooks and press the right arrow.
You don't have to click every dollar or phone n pie.
They auto collect.

As for the currency of this event.

The lock picks are like doughnuts u collect in a way. Some times you'll get few and some times you get more.

Not saying they shouldn't have gave lock picks like a 13.5 - 14% drop rate instead of 10 but yeah.

Also I think the crystals higher drop rate over shadows the drop rate of the lock picks somehow.

Who knows.
Either way hopefully ea won't offer the lock picks for ridiculous amounts of doughnuts to bencd it out.

Honestly that be a joke.
Especially seeing how we all she'll out doughnuts for the extra charachters like spider pig or the lizard scientist guy or even both.

Sooo... yesterday I cashed in what I could for the Zenith Times building. Right now, I still don't have enough capes or handcuffs for either the Apartments, Lofts, or Storefront. But I've still got lots of lock picks and phones.

Which basically means, if the crafting were to end today and I had to cash in everything I could, I'd be able to pick up 11 Phone Booths. And that would leave me with an extra:
4 Lockpicks
9 Capes
7 Handcuffs
355 Phones

So what's the over/under on how many phones we're all going to have left over? 2000 or so? :lol:
