I for one am happy to hear that this is back!
The placement used to work like this and it'd be annoying when re-fencing an area, etc, to run out of storage and then have to stop and go to the store to find the item again and then keep going. I really liked the fact that you could exhaust storage items and keep going w/ purchases.
I also like how they put underneath the item, where it's coming from and what the cost is. You can actually see the cost go up when placing Kem's, houses, KB's etc. Glad to hear it doesn't do it with donuts. All in all excellent news!
