Not all Americans, my son is being taught the metric and decimal systems. He's going into the 5th grade. Just defending the American education system because some schools do teach both systems.
I was taught it as well. Just trying to be cute, and poke a little fun that we are taught it but don't actually get to use it. Unless you're a scientist it seems. :D
