Weight

When I get a sewing pattern it comes in English and French. I read the details in English but the measurements French because the French measurements are in metric. Sewing world is usually in imperial in the English world. Rather annoying but now I have a working knowledge of sewing terms in French and Italian (the well regarded European pattern drafting course is in Italian)

BMI doesn't work for kids. It pretty much only works for average height, Caucasian adult. I'd would focus on ensuring that you are eating well rather than your weight.

I remember getting weighed on a pay scale in London that gave a printout in lbs, kilos, and stone. I know that a kilo is a bar of metal at the standards institute in Paris but where is this stone???? Sounds like blarney to me.

Oh yeah, the only Americans who know what a kilo weighs are those buying *:)
