I was truly going to give a scientific explanation as to the polar direction of the town utilizing US wind currents, as Springfield is supposed to be within the continental US. Utilizing the direction of the steam from the power plant as the indicator of wind current direction.. but alas the steam direction rotates with the cooling towers.. :?
