I started Dec 26th, 2012. I received my iPad for Christmas and my daughter-in-law introduced me to this game the next day.
I had no idea what I was doing, but when the Christmas event ended I was shocked at all the coins I lost. That’s when I searched for and found this forum. Been hooked ever since.
that was my first full event. I loved tapping the coins and watching the snow come down. Was very peaceful and relaxing to me. :)"johncolombo;c-1991342" wrote:

That was fun even though I missed most of it. And when the snow ended, I was blinded by all the green.- Day one right here. I remember there was a period where we didn’t think the game would take off and EA didn’t have high hopes. It almost shut down between 2012 and 2013.

I started on the same day as you, neighbor :) We were in the US for Christmas, and my husband had downloaded the game. He made the mistake of showing it to me. I took over his (anonymous) game (level 5 or so) and iPad. Two months later he bought himself another iPad because he was tired of sharing :D I came to the forum about a month later looking for a walkthrough, so I have been here through the dog race/scratc-R combo (those were the days), the harpies :#, the infinte Bobs and all the events since. Decided to turn my town not so anonymous during Valentine 2013 so as to get more cards.- bluntcardNew TravelerIt would be fun if old events were downloadable.
- Thanksgiving 2014. Tapped Out kept showing up as a top rated app, so I finally decided to give it a go. The Christmas event hooked me. I wish they would do one like that again, the daiky challenges were fun. And I loved blasting elves out of the cannon in Act 3.

This is a great idea. So many fun events that many people will never have a chance to enjoy. I still have fond memories of my first event, Halloween 2012. Not to mention the untappable Mayan god that has been wandering my town ever since.- Are some of you people commenting without voting???

Doesn't that happen in real life? Why would it change here? "mystery2mi;c-1990578" wrote:

I started playing in the middle of the 2013 winter event. At the time, I was undergoing cancer treatments and needed something to pass the time. I had just purchased my first tablet and was looking around for a game to install. I've always been a Simpson's fan so when I came across TSTO, it was an obvious choice. By the time the Stonecutters event started, I was really hooked plus I was back in the hospital for major surgery. The nurses didn't like it too much though when I told them I was too busy to get my vitals taken! :D
I didn't have any neighbors until Halloween 2014 because I didn't think my town was up to par and wanted to level up more. Later, I realised that I could have leveled up a lot faster if I had gotten neighbors sooner.
Special thanks to all of my neighbors, past and present. I appreciate all the help you have given me through the years! <3 :)
didn't think your town was up to par.... good one neighbor! :sunglasses: hope everything has been relatively smooth sailing since your treatments.
Ha ha! In all fairness though, you didn't become my neighbor until last year (I think). My 2014 freemium town looked a lot different. :s Healthwise, I'm doing fairly well although things do tend to wear out with age. Been cancer-free for 3 years now. Thanks for asking. B)
Glad to hear you're cancer free neighborino!! ❤️
I started playing right before the first Valentine's Day event. Played till St. Patty's day then got locked out for a while. Got my iPad, and it was the first thing I put on it. Been tapping ever since!
