So...I believe this is how it works. The more you send to attack, the faster they destroy the building. If the user logs on and defends that building before the time is up, you only get a fraction of the total payout. If you destroy the building before the other user defends, you get the entire reward. I sent 40 nerds earlier today to attack buildings. One for each building. I think it was around 8 hours to complete each building attack. Throughout the day I was getting rewarded for their attacks. But not for nearly as much as the total suggested and much quicker than 8 hours.Then I sent 10 to one building and it said 1 hr to complete. That hour passed and I got the entire reward. Hope that helps.And you can see how much you are supposed to earn from every house you attack. I didn't pay attention to each house, but it know the castle is a higher payout. And the more defended/upgraded the castle is, the longer it takes. I'm not sure if the reward is higher though.

I say do this, if you come across what looks like an abandoned town, use one. If it is clearly active, use more.

The trick would be to find out your neighbors time zone and attack while they are sleeping! LolIf you had totaled what you raked in with the diverse attack, you could have compared it to your group attack to see which does earn more: 8 little hauls or one big one

I just sent a bunch of nerds to attack, hoping most the Springfields I attacked are in the pacific time zone. Yea, I think I might try that tomorrow and see if I can't pinpoint how the payouts work. I did just notice that when attacking neighbors, the payout was less than attacking random Springfields. I still don't quite have a grip on which way to go. Thankfully we have 48 days for this event!

Yeah, but the reason is simple: anyone also non-friends can invade your town. If you are lucky and the code that assigns people to random towns sends them to yours alot, you can gain gold in no time. My town is constant under attack by multiple people.

I get little gold from attacking other towns.

Some nice tips here. I didn't know that people could defend. I take it if you have a lot of nerds, maximise your gold output by only using a couple of nerds on one building so you can use all 5 slots in one town.

So if someone destroys it, you can repair them and get elixir and gold?

Do you get more gold/elixir from repairing an already destroyed building or from defending it before it's destroyed?

Defending it before it is destroyed gives double the gold and elixer.

Yes, if you see a destroyed building in your town you can click on the icon above (same icon as when something has finished building). But you get more gold if you defend your building BEFORE it has been destroyed. Buildings under attack are marked with a Blue and yellow shield.

Dam... its better 1 nerd for 1 building and in your feeder town also you are sure there that you detroy each day 5 buildings. :wink:
