What's the Difference Between One Nerd versus Several Nerds?

So...I believe this is how it works. The more you send to attack, the faster they destroy the building. If the user logs on and defends that building before the time is up, you only get a fraction of the total payout. If you destroy the building before the other user defends, you get the entire reward.

I think...

Is it good to send them all to the "Other Springfield?" Seeing as they won't stop the attack... :-\

Does this work? I was wondering about this, but I thought it was like the eggs (if you leave one in other Springfield, it's all for naught). If sending nerds to OS really maximized gold and elixir without having an adversary to defend the homes, why wouldn't everyone do this? I'm still a little skeptical about OS until enough tests are conducted.

The trick would be to find out your neighbors time zone and attack while they are sleeping! Lol

If you had totaled what you raked in with the diverse attack, you could have compared it to your group attack to see which does earn more: 8 little hauls or one big one

    Great strategy

No evidence yet, but I think everyone should be sending 1 nerd per attack to OS. No defender so guaranteed victory (I hope!). The limitation is still 5 attacks per day - that limits the gold and elixir amount you can collect.

Defending it before it is destroyed gives double the gold and elixer.

So, you get more form defending then attacking?

I think that is how it works too. :)

Not a math major, but I am a software engineering major!

    1. Attacking random Springfields is a higher payout than attacking friends/neighbors.
    2. Attacking with more nerds reduces the time to complete attack.
    3. Attacking with more nerds DOES NOT effect total payout.
    4. If your attack is defended, you get less of a payout.
    5. Defending your buildings is a higher payout than letting them be destroyed.
    6. Attacking Castles has a higher payout than attacking houses.
    7. Use your cheater dice on Castles. (Better payout).
    8. The landing zone when attacking will take you to the castle if it is not already being attacked.
    9. Other wise landing zone is the nearest attack-able house.
    10. If landing zone lands on nothing to be attacked, move on.

So the strategy, attack attack attack! Go after neighbors who you know visit your Springfield, but go for random Springfields. If you come across an inactive Springfield, use one nerd. If you come across and active Springfield, use more. Guess time zones and try to hit people while they are sleeping! Or work...but let's be real here. No one is working during this event.
  • I adjust my stragedy, since i was visit all my friends after a couple my game gets mutch lag and i have to restart my device constandly.

    So:

Who attack me - I attack back. even if it was a random guy, i will take revenge...

uKn "Battlefield" Power Hoah !!

See you on the Battlefield Medieval soldier 8)

Also, if they aren't updated & playing, you can only collect $.

  • This is a very interesting event in terms of the strategy of attacking houses! I am going to stick to attacking random Springfields until I have won all of the prizes since the payout is so much higher - I've been able to accumulate gold quite quickly from defending alone, although there could be less attacks on my town as more and more people build their castles and become attackable.

My guess is the extra payout for random Springfields has been done to discourage players from creating their own extra 'feeder' towns and just attacking and defending from those towns only to maximize revenue.

The one thing I still haven't figured out is how the fractional payout works if someone defends your attack before the time completes - i.e. do you get a fixed percentage back or does it depend on how much of the time went by before the attack was defended.
  • I have no freaking idea how this update works. What I'm attempting to do is seek out castles exclusively, and send as many nerds as possible to attack at once. It seems a good number of my neighbors haven't updated yet, so I THINK I'm just attacking random towns, which is fine with me. As long as I'm earning (at least I THINK I'm earning!) it's all good.http://littlefun.org/uploads/520be02ac856117033000007_736.jpg
