When to drop non-playing friends?
I'll drop when they have nothing to tap. Usually that's about four weeks. I'll keep some long time neighbors that only play for events and I know will come back.

- My rule of thumb is about a week. I give more time if I really like their town, or if they leave a note on their town.
I am much less forgiving for repeat offenders. I remember if I find nothing to tap in their town... If it happens more than a couple times, I do get annoyed and I'm quicker to drop them, even if they're not gone a whole week. - It depends on the person and town they have. 2-3 weeks then I delete. If I really like there town, I will wait 4-6 weeks. Sadly if there are no activities from them, then I will delete.
- For me it's anywhere from 3 days to 4 weeks. I still have some friends from when I started playing a year ago so I am a little more lenient to them then I would be to a new friend who takes a month to level from 16 to 17. I guess it just depends on how patient and forgiving you are.
- I stopped playing during the Easter event because it got too tedious. That was proven by the recent in-game dialogue. Then I had to take care of my wife after she had both knees replaced. In those 5 weeks only 30 neighbors dumped me. I think the other ten fell into a coma. So I ATTACKED THEM WITH HEARTLESS VEANGANCE!!! What else was I to do; cry for Purple!?
