Why are people against graffiti?

Nothing to do with graffiti. I got only a training wall and 5 starts.

They seem to confuse real life with TSTO

Like many, I have enough training walls to counteract any negative effects on my town rating. So I would encourage my neighbours to vandalize!

I tend not to vandalize other neighbours, simply because I hate having to wait for the animation before moving on to the next town. Unless of course there are a few builidings close together and I can multi-tap them for the glitch bonus actions.

Well, you'd get that $ & XP from whatever building your friend tapped, so it's not really any extra money (maybe an extra buck or two with your multiplier), and it is negative righteousness points (at least if you don't clear it within an hour), so there's that.

It's a part of the show, it not like this is real life.

Except you can collect regularly from your buildings even when they aren't tapped by your friends. There is nothing to collect from those graffiti buildings unless they have been tagged so yes you do get extra $$

Yes, you can collect regularly, but you get additional money when it has a handshake, so no, you don't get extra money, just the same amount (depending on multipliers) with one less tap.

I don't like leaving graffiti in other people's towns because it takes too long for the can to finish spraying. I know I don't have to stay and watch it but I do. Every time. Then I think "well that took too long". So unless that's the only thing to tap I leave them alone.

I don't care if anyone leaves graffiti in my town though. Have at it.
