- I voted raced through not using donuts, as soon as I hear of an update I'm all over it lol
- I need a slow-to-regular option, lol.
Brave man asking such a question, people are really hot over this topic better don your protective gear :D - I used to race through the game initially but gradually slowed my pace down. :D Especially when I found out how difficult it was to obtain donuts.
The recent surge in cash and donuts won't change the way I play it. I'm a donut hoarder. :D And I stopped buying land already. I don't want my Springfield to start crashing on me. *knocks on wood* As it is it's already starting to lag quite a bit. mellytan wrote:

Mine isn't crashing anymore *knock on wood* LOL but I went from 95 friends to 50. Now I just crash when I click on Homer. Somebody had suggested looking to see when people last logged in, had around 30 who hadn't logged in for over a week! Deleted all of them and the game became more stable. Also deleted the few massive house farmers I had, that helped as well.
Be prepared for guilty feelings though if you do this.lissarv68 wrote:

Well, I don't hold an opinion of how anyone answers. No dog in this race, as they say. Play how you like.
But I'll put on mynpretend suit of armor just in case (and just because).- I'm undecided. When making the guide, I probably used a week of speed-ups through the process (damn pressure!)...I usually used them in a semi-restrained way...I'd start a building at night, let it go through the night, then finish it off with donuts in the morning or when I had time to figure out what was next. Now, a lot of people have started contributing to the guide, and the XMAS update was the first time I wasn't the first person to actually "track" things. KingVicc broke all the coin-related purchases (I commend him for the donuts needed to finish so quickly!). I have a feeling there will be more than a few people speeding and posting the results, so I may wait and see. If Burns Manor is the first thing to build, I'll probably donut the CRAP out of it to play with Smithers! (that sounded so wrong...yet so right!)

I'm a donut hoarder too. Saving for the premiums. Also curious about your device. I do my visiting on an iPhone 5, because it... it... I hate to say it, crashes less. Less than my clunky first gen iPad. On Facebook, ea/origin said the game could be less supported on older devices.Simpsons00001 wrote:

Ahh, Simpsons00001, yours was an opinion I was most curious about. Thanks. Your guide is stellar.lissarv68 wrote:

I've already trimmed my friend list! Long story short, I did it because I was desperate to get access to my Springfield after the Thanksgiving update locked me out. No more pending friends, invites. Just 62 friends (the OCD in me needs to cap it at an even number. LOL) Most of my friends are either from the forum or were added when I first started playing the game.
OMG. I was so guilty when I started deleting people off my list. I felt so bad. But at the same time, I was fast running out of options.RSommons wrote:

I'm also saving my donuts for premiums (I'm praying for more sales!) Anyway, I'm on iPhone 4 and iPad 2. I hardly have crashes *knocks on wood*. Just that I'm starting to see the lag especially when I've got quite a bit of decorations and buildings plus land in my Springfield ATM.peruhomer wrote:
I'm going to get all tantric on this update's *. I'm going to take it nice and slow and prolong the pleasure. Got way over excited with the Christmas update and blew my stack (of money and donuts) far too quickly and was left feeling unsatisfied as a result.
Think I need a cigarette after that...
