Ive also had this issue. I beat the ai by 2mins in one stage at sweden, winning the rally by 4, even though I had a broken steering rack for the last sector and couldnt go straight without going slow
Hi Everyone,
I've had a flick through some of the EA Forums for WRC and I've not yet seen anyone bring this topic up.
I am by no means the quickest driver out there on this game, but I'm finding it disappointing how easy the game is to win stages and events on 100 AI difficulty. For me, I think 100 should be close to unbeatable, requiring clean stages constantly, like it is in real life WRC.
I love this game so much, but there is no challenge aspect with it being so easy to win events, while having crashes occasionally and spins.
An example, I recently started a custom JWRC championship, first event is Sweden and generally I struggle on the snowy events, I had a massive roll on the first stage, lost maybe 15s, but I was just 1s behind the leader on that stage. Clean stages I was winning by 15-20s easily without really having to push hard or take risks. This was on 100 AI difficulty. It just feels so easy and not a challenge!
I'd love to know if anyone else agrees with this point.
Cheers,
Ewan!

Does the AI 'stage leader' on the progress bar actually mimic the stage being driven (with fast and slower parts of the stage) or is it just a count down timer to the finish stage time of the leader? On multiple stages with a lot of twists and turns in sector 1 I have found myself being left behind by AI who seem to progress as if for them the sector is just a straight only to "easily" catch back up at moments where the stage actually becomes a bit faster.
- 2 years ago@Unbreukable Yeah I noticed as well, it's annoying.
