Although Sony being Sony and belief they do it better have a tendency to develop their own software/hardware rather than use third party tech wherever possible. A common outcome is Sony products work awesomely with other Sony products. But not so well with other manufacturers. So when I bought my PS5 I needed a TV with 120FPS. Did lots of research and every source recommended although TV features are nothing special a Sony TV will get the most from PS5. I have no hard evidence that’s the case only that I don’t ever get graphic or performance issues anywhere as bad as others. Last crash I had was just after F1 22 released which was 18ish months ago and thousands of playing hours. All TV manufacturers add their own picture processing programs to get the desired display output they want. They don’t. Care so much about the effect those programs processes have on a games data being sent from console. Where Sony do optimise their TVs with PS5. I have a Sony TV and a slightly older Samsung. When both TVs have downloaded updates. I’ve had 5 or so PS5 specific updates on Sony TV. Not a single update relating to any kind off console on Samsung.
Sorry I’m old man rambling. But Devs can’t develop games to be optimised to work perfectly with every manufacturers TV. They will however optimise the game for each specific consoles hardware/software.

@BeanDKYou can still force VRR on PS5. Havnt done so on WRC as after 20 or so hours I’ve only had the occasional screen tear. Any how I force VRR on F1 games and apart from screen flicker on loading screens (Sony say this is normal when applying VRR to unsupported games) Game looks and feels better when at 120FPS.

Thanks for that buddy.
so there’s a few things…
firstly, I’ve realised that notion blur settings revert to on everytime I start the game on ps5.
so all this time, the issues I’ve been having, this has been turned on. I turned it off and am seeing an improvement in performance. It’s far from perfect, but a good bit better.
as for VRR, I have an oled C1, but I’m not sure if I’ve forced VRR on for unsupported games in my PlayStation settings. I’ll check next time I’m on.
the motion blur is huge though. I’ve reported it in the bug section.

Have this exact same issues, also a 13900K with a 4090... i do not understand how you could release a game in this state....

They were GODS with EGO engine as they created it and use it for 15+ years, with the old engine none of this would've happen but we would have ended up having shorter stages among other things. Also i rode unreal 4 had stuttering issues. Car reflectios seems to be something that kills FPS and uses tons of CPU.
They will fix it... eventually, i only hope people give them time but the reviews are mixed right now and is all because of the TERRIBLE optimization.
- 2 years ago@Lino_carreira Car reflections to ultra low should help, try it and let us know.

Because only think of EA it's $$$$
So ridiculous!
Dear EA if need wait mid december for 1 stupid fix for IA, maybe make only 1 patch for all bug, see to repair career calendar...its every time same calendar and same stage with same conditions, make a random stages and conditions,
Maybe from christmas, with real championship ended bye more than 1 month and after 2 month of release of this beta ( because this is a BETA!) can finally play of this game...
