Very strange, for me on xbox series x is almost perfect in every stage.
No thearing and frame rate is ultra stabile.
Your console is broken.... 😂

BS.
How likely is it that 2 people have the same problem on the same console and "overheat" is the problem?
And tearing is a known issue, look at the bug report sub forum.
It's a problem from the very beginning. It got a bit better, but it's still there.
The game is running mostly at 60 fps, tearing is the main problem.
Sometimes the tearing is so bad it looks like stutter, but it is just extreme tearing.
If it would be a console issue on my side, it would effect all games, it wouldn't make sense if it would only this game.
There are games I play regularly with much higher technical demand than this game and they are running fine.
It's just not well optimized for some reason. Maybe the developers are not used to UE4 or the engine doesn't work well with this kind of game, what do I know?
Let me ask you: Do you actually know what "tearing" is?
I wanna see a run from you at finland without any tearing and I believe you.

I can assure you my console has no issues. All other games (that are properly optimized) run perfectly, and some of the locations in WRC as well.
I didn't write my original post to put it up for some kind of debate. The game has severe performance problems in many locations and stages, and I wanted to send this feedback. I'm confident the developers also know about these issues and I hope they have plans for further patches to improve the situation. Currently, performance varies from good to unacceptable, depending on where you drive. Some locations are unbearably bad with the amount of framerate drops and screen tear. That's it.

I’ve read a few articles that some game developers have had issues optimising their games on Xbox series X due to series S having limitations. Whether that’s true 🤷🏻♂️ As it could also just be easy for some developers to blame their shortcomings on Xbox.
What developers can’t do is optimise games for every kind of TV display a console is connected to. They optimise game to consoles hardware/software. Then it’s down to whichever console PS/Xbox to send information to TV. Problem with TV especially Smart TV is they have tons of background processes running that can cause slight latency issues. Also every TV manufacturer has their own fancy display software that prioritises enhancing TV and film picture. Which often has a detrimental effect on games: Which is obviously the reason for TVs game mode setting. Which disables most but not all processes that can cause issue.
this may not help at all but it’s worth trying. But ever since I followed a YouTube gurus tv and PS5 setup guide. Tens off thousands off hours off gameplay since and I rarely if at all get issues as severe as other players report on this game or F1 etc.As it may be a while before a patch for the game addresses your issues. If you havnt already tried. Go to TV display settings and turn off everything that has either low/med/high/Auto setting or adjusts picture in real time. You don’t need these except the basic sliders (brightness/contrast etc) as picture is managed console display settings.
Also see if closing any other apps you may have open on your console. I personally find it I have YouTube open on my PS5 causes slight latency.
Also in game settings HDR brightness is set to 50 by default. I find 20 give or take a few clicks helps
