EA where is promised VR ? Why you ignore customers questions ?

You promised VR over 3 months ago and yet never delivered. That is okay if it were running behind schedule but what is not excusable is that you fail to reply to honest & genuine inquiries from your customers on the progress or even if VR will ever be released. No updates, no encouragement that yes it is coming, nothing. This is very poor form and one of many reasons why so many gamers really dislike your company. Does anybody there have ears to listen !?

Even though I pre-ordered over three months ago, Steam who are a really great company, refunded me for WRC last night. I am done with EA, at least for now and until their is evidence you are a customer focused company. Yes we all get it that you want to make huge sums of profit but to do that at the expense of the customer will lead down a bumpy road to Fail.

I should have learnt my lesson after preordering F1 2022 on the promise of VR which was delivered in such an awful state that I never played it again - it still is in my library and I do not even know if it was made to work to a decent standard because I got so dizzy and disoriented in the 2 or 3 hours I spend trying to get it working that I dared not play it again. All my other racing titles play incredibly well in VR and I will get my rally fix from Dirt Rally 1 & 2. Really sad that you took over Codemasters because now they wear the EA badge it has practically destroyed their good work and trust from the sim race gamers.

I have not written this to hate on EA but am so annoyed that I wish to honestly vent on how I feel and I know others in the race sim community feel the same but may be cautious to express their feelings in this crazy environment of woke nonsense where people cannot speak their truth.

There's a UE-VR mod which works really good with EA WRC. so good that i'm pretty happy with it and will never play the game in pancake mode anymore

I only bought the game because they said it was going to have VR support and it was on sale. BUT... there is a solution! An unofficial solution but a solution. Search for "UEVR Praydog" and you will find a download that lets you turn most any Unreal Engine 4/5 games into VR. I got WRC 23 working in VR and it is now just as good as Dirt Rally 2.0 VR. It's crazy! There are some videos on Youtube that show how to do it.. such as this one:

Yeah I knew about the UEVR by praydog but I was waiting for the fully implemented VR version that EA stated would be released. I got sick of waiting and Steam actually refunded me a week or so back as I only had played for 2 minutes just to check it loaded. You would think that most of their work is done by UEVR and they would just have to use that and tidy things up.
I really hate how gamers make excuses for these big money machine companies like EA who care little about the customer and only for themselves and their $$$ total - not the devs as they are hard working people like anyone, its the corporate elites who run these monolithic companies that suck up every other smaller company to maximise their profit.
If you say you will release something then do it or at least offer proper explanation of why it is not coming or delayed and when it will come, otherwise say it is cancelled. Better still do not say it will be released in the 1st place. EA craps on peoples expectations and wonders why people get angry at them but really they just do not care less. It is notable that they do not even respond to any genuine question about VR, suggests it is likely been canned.

They didn't ask anyone and anything from the beginning. Why should they listen to anyone now?

I don't think that UEVR runs well. I only get about 50 to 60 FPS (3080TI, 5800x) with ultra low and without supersampling with my Pico Neo 3 Link. So about 50% reprojection rate ist not good. DR 2.0 delivers 90 FPS with 150% supersampling and high preset and 0% reprojection rate. But I agree with you on the 2d part: I can't play it without VR. Where is the official VR???

@CaptainINSAN0 Nice that UEVR is an eventually solution for some people but i want proper VR and not fumble around in those mods.
It always cost performance. Additional to that i dont want waste time on that. We have paid for an game where VR was advertised and nowadays VR is mandatory for racing games. I am tired of that flat screen driving and the game is getting boring without VR for me. So its time to provide informations. The period of time between patches is quite big but the effort of them is quite low. I have that feeling that VR will be poorly implemented like it was the case in DR2.0.... but i hope i am wrong.

I'm waiting for official VR support to buy this game but I think I will never buy WRC. I think too I will never buy anymore EA sim game...

We are currently working on adding VR support to EA SPORTS™ WRC for PC only. We’ll reveal details once it is ready for release.

We don't have more information regarding this, but as soon as we have something more we'll let you know.

Thanks for your Feedback.
A lesson for me -> I should have waited until the VR Upgrade ist available. Paid full price and still no ETR for VR.
BTW: The price is already down 20 EUR and I think it will not stop going down.
