It would be much better to end up where you entered in the list of moments events so you don't have to scroll all the way to the right again to play the next one.
Furthermore the game puts the event you are participating in to the very left which can be weird. Better implement a dedicated button that sends you there.

To add to OP's request of being placed in the Moments selection screen where you left off before picking a Moment scenario, the new season adds two layers to picking older Moments. I feel as though this could be streamlined to reduce menu navigation when flowing from one Moment to the next.
The example is:
Upon exiting the Moment, you are currently placed back in the Moments menu for the current season with no context for the Moment that was just completed regardless of what season was selected, thus the need to repeat the listed process from step 2 is required to resume. Ideally, the flow of ending one Moment and starting the "next" is for the player to be dropped off after the loading screen onto the carousel with the Season and Moment that was just finished present on screen.
