As somebody who plays racing games in pretty much exclusively the cockpit view the amount of missing or buggy cockpit things pulls me out of the game alot.
Here is just a few examples.
Trees and bushes going through the car model into the cockpit as well as random leaves.
Same can be said for snow being kicked up from the tyres entering the bottom of the cockpit which is visible in cockpit view.
Dirt don't form up properly on the window screen I mean you don't even need to wipe it off of your window wipers four little dots being on your screen and no matter how much you wipe it doesn't disappear.
Dirt that's on your window screen for some reason only appears in the areas where your window wipers wouldn't be able to wipe almost as if a invisible window wipe has been cleaning your screen for you making the whole point of wiping the dirt off your windows with the window screen wiper button pointless!!
And lastly snow doesn't form on the windows and doesn't get any special effects like rain does.... Why?
Seriously all these things combined just make the car feel disconnected from the tracks you're on. These little details that seem pointless to other people are really important to people who Drive actual cars.
This is WRC and we are missing out on things that rally drivers have to deal with constantly, not just the difficult the terrain is your driving on but also the elements and weather too.
I really hope some updates comes out to add more immersion to the cockpits because right now dirt does it ten times better and even the older WRC games before took over got this right.... (apart from rain and snow drops on the windows that was always shocking).
Need to pass this on to the devs for sure. The third person camera view is fine but 1st person? Needs alot of work..
I saw dirt all over the screen in one of the trailers where the hell is that in the gameplay? We are driving on dirty, muddy or snowy tracks, yet our vision is completely clear all of the time as if we're driving our race track and perfect conditions! Cockpit immersion needs some love!
Apart from that I'm having a blast of the game on ps5/xbox SX
