It lasted a whole 180 days. Double the legal warranty period of 90 days.
IT's really a joke that EA introduces a EA anticheat on kernel level - which I definitively will not install. There is nothing what rectifies the introduction for an additional security risk to our PCs.
This is for a big part a Single Player game with leaderboards - and to be honest - why are some people so mad if a few cheater have unrealistic times on a website this is not Olympia. Nobody really needs to correct this with a kernel level security hole in our PCs.
So if this is really coming and I can't play the Single Player without anticheat then EA has seen the last EUR from me. Even if I have to stop playing WRC and have to install the old RBR.
BTW: Just Google for EA anticheat problems and you will see that is a bad solution anyway.

I cannot find anything regarding what happens to the leaderboards?
So first question Ive asked myself is -
Is EA going to wipe the whole set of leaderboards from patch 1.9 ? If not why not ? ( Personally dont care but an interesting train of thought)
Followed by the nature of The anti cheat kernel (ACK) itself
Does/ will the ACK be active from the very start of a gaming session be it offline or online?
Does it scan every time an online session begins or every time an online event run starts?
or is it continually scanning from opening to closing the game be it offline or online?
Will the ACK act as a TSR ( terminate but stay resident) or will it completely suspend / remove itself once the game is closed?
Now this is assuming the in-house designed ACK is nothing like the in-house VR "beta" implementation .
What happens to those accounts/players who trigger the ACK ?
What recourse do account holders have for a (heaven forfend) poorly implemented ACK decision?
What recourse do/will account holders have from EA themselves to malicious 3rd party attacks on your ACK if it is found to be "Not so secure" . ?
Has this ACK already been tested and proven?
And finally ( for the time being)
When was the ACK first conceived to be implemented into EAWRC ? (ie before or after launch) ?
Edit getting Cs and Ks right way around

I do not consent to this forced usage of EA's proprietary AC. Give users the option to refund the game if you will force us to open our computer to possible vulnerabilities we have no say in.
