And the punchline to all of this is that Dirt Rally 2.0 still averages more players on Steam than WRC, so you'd think EA would want to try and increase the ratio of DR players converting to the new game, through means such as increasing the discount for DR2 owners.  Instead this anti-cheat fiasco is encouraging existing WRC players to return to DR2, which is still a perfectly fine and functional rally game (and rallycross is a more fun side mode than regularity, at least in the latter's current implementation in career).
