Is EA WRC stage names are mostly made up?
Hello, i am trying to find game stages on rally-maps.com, fia.com, rally.tv but almost nothing matches by names provided in game.
For example only one stage from Secto Rally Finland matches with stages published on Secto rally official web page, or on other oficial FIA resources.
Peltola, Ruokolahti not even mention anywhere in any FIA resources, Painaa was around 2014, when it was called not Secto but Neste rally,
Leustu is there but last time it was contested in Neste rally, Vehmas - closest name is Vehmaskylä but was around 1966,
and same goes on with most tracks i was trying to map from game with WRC.
So my assumption is that most of these tracks that do not match with WRC is made up and few of them matches with WRC. is it correct?
Thanks
All of the roads you can drive in-game exist in real life. However, not all of them have necessarily been used in WRC events.
In the case of Finland, Päijälä and Leustu are the "true" stages used. Each stage has a forward and reverse variant, and is then split into halves that also have forward and reverse versions. This results in 6 stages per road and 12 for the rally.
