More balance for damage (and repair)

I wonder if anyone at CM is also thinking about maybe rebalancing the (hardcore) damage model a bit. Parts of the car that usually sustain the least amount of damage collect the most (impactful) damage in this game. These parts impact your result a lot as they are mostly power related parts. The parts that in real life collect the most damage like suspension, aero, etc hardly have any impact on your pace in this game if you damage them. The exhaust also tends to collect damage really easy (even with increased ride height) while in real life this part is reasonably protected.

Some more balance between the available service times (15/30/45) and how long the average repair/replace takes would also be appreciated. I understand your should not be able to fix everything all the time but currently it is not great. And yes I know we can opt to have 45 minutes after every stage...
I would prefer something like when you do a 12 stage rally to maybe just have 120 minutes 1x at the start of stage 7.

Some parts also seem to have excessive wear, like brakes and gearbox.

And some additional info on what a quick fix and a repair will give you compared to replacing a part would be nice.

  • Definitely.  The fragility of the gearbox and brakes is ridiculous.

I'm in a club doing ~200km Rallies and I have to replace the gearbox and brakes several times (with no crashing) over the course of the Rally. I end up taking time penalties to fix the bloody things all the time.
