Night looks like day at default brightness?

Am I the only one who sees night races look like overcast day race at default brightness (50)? I can see everything even with zero car lights. Very far even.

I had to reduce my brightness to around 17-24, before it actually looks like a real night.

The default brightness (50) at night is especially weird when overcast is added to it and there is no artificial or car light anywhere near the road. And yet every little detail is visible without car light.

Am I the only one who experiences this? Or is everyone else also experiencing this?

  • I have the same problem. Byt with HDR you cant even turn down the brigthness. So in most night stages I just turn off the lights so I dont need to see all the shimmering

oh that's strange. Thanks for sharing that.

I thought maybe it was an issue with my screen.

But it seems like I'm not the only one with this issue.

luckily I can fix it by lowering ingame brightness

  • Me too, i created a topic called summer nights because of it.

yeah it does kind of feel like that. Thats funny.

Sometimes I still see faded rays of the sun peak through the overcast clouds at night. it feels more like a summer evening than night.

What is the strangest tho... I didn't see any update, but today I logged in on WRC, did a night race, and the issue is completely gone, even at default brightness (50).

    Guess they fixed it now.

I noticed that the developers don’t take this brightness problem seriously. Still no response….
