Recently I was wondering what I was missing in EA Sports WRC and I played DR 2.0 for a while. During rallies, you can sometimes encounter accidents on the road in the form of random events. It would be nice to bring this back in EA Sports WRC.
This game lacks random events like in Dirt rally 2.0. While driving, you could often come across another driver's wrecked car on a corner. This created sudden changes in driving style, it was very interesting, such random events on rally stages. Will it come back?
totally agree!. I still remember how in the WRC Rally Evolved on the PS2, it had some very real events, the Marshall even appeared waving his arms, remember, it was PS2!. Furthermore, it would be great if these events had an impact on the classifications (it seems obvious but...), since in WRC Generations, we could see accidents or breakdowns, but then those cars were still P1, P2, etc... xd
There are WRC regulations for accidents on a special stage.
The red triangle needs to be put up and there needs to be an "OK" or "SOS" sign. Drivers are required to stop and render assistance, actually, which results in nominal times handed out for that stage.
It'd be cool if accidents were part of the game.
I guess we'll have to wait a few more game generations for stuff like this, though.
