Re: EA SPORTS™ WRC Pre-load times

I see a lot of confusion around here, so I am trying to bring some light to the matter about this issue.

We are very clear about the trusted online digital retailers of EA PC games in our article "Where to buy EA digital download games and virtual currency". Those retailers are the ones that ensure that your account is secure, but also ensure proper functioning for the games you are purchasing.

In this case, the different retailers you are mentioning ARE NOT trusted retailers. That means EA doesn't distribute keys to them, EA doesn't partner with them to sell the games, and those keys may come from dubious sources. As we mention in the article above, the purchases from these retailers can carry some risks such as:

• You might get the wrong product or language version of a game you buy.
• Unauthorized websites may be phishing for your EA Account or payment info.
• It’s also possible that unauthorized retailers will sell you a fake, used, or stolen CD key or Product Code.
• Additionally, any illegally obtained games and Product Codes will be disabled by us. That means you won’t be able to play your game or redeem your virtual currencies.
• EA Advisors won't be able to help you with games you bought from unauthorized retailers or illegally.

I hope this helps with any confusion you may have. Those keys were obtained without EA´s authorization, which means that can carry some of the risks mentioned above.

I bought through Steam.. What is happening there?

UPDATE: Needed to restart Steam after the initial Pre-Load and subsequent install (which happened the next day). So 2 days and 2 restarts before Play showed in Steam.. Good to go now... Good luck folks!!!

There is one thing I'm not sure I understand correctly.

will the game be unlocked tomorrow for those who bought it on instant gaming or CDkeys.

Because ea app continues to offer me to buy the game for €45..

And in my order history, I see that I have the first trial edition.

I do not understand anything anymore.

instant gaming tells me that there is no problem with the key but that the problem comes from ea. they told me to contact ea support as they are used to this kind of problem, so stop blaming third-party resellers.

so will we be able to play tomorrow or are the keys now completely broken because of EA?

Surely you know who you sell keys to and can track the keys CDKEYS had.

I have bought from them for years, what they tend to do is order the physical copy and take the key and sell it, all legit.

When I entered the key it said thanks for PRE-ORDERING in an Email.

You are conning us.

They know exactly who has what keys, because EA sold them those keys. It's the only way they could have gotten pre-order keys way back in September. I just don't think EA like the fact that they can't scam us directly, and so they try and screw over the legit 3rd party sellers by claiming that they are ALL bad, instead of just the ones that are marketplaces, like G2A. I will absolutely continue to buy from CDKeys, because unlike EA they always deliver what they promise. EA on the other hand, will never see another cent from me as long as I live. No more F1 games, no WRC, nothing. Companies like EA are like a cancer.

Unfortunately, it didn't work

Dear EA.I'll tell you something. I've been playing Colin forever... In 2.0 after LAN with the first network experience, then DIRT 4, DIRT, DIRT 2.0. Now, I've decided to pre-order WRC 2023 key to immediately enjoy the Codemasters experience I've always cherished. I didn't steal the key, I'm not looking for pirated copies. I wanted to ask if I was banned for unflattering comments? I live in Europe, in Poland, maybe a small country, and still my version of the game hasn't been released?? Your treatment of the client is a bit of a drama, although I haven't had such experiences before. I have dozens of games with you, I've also bought cdkeys more than once and I've never had any problems. You can delete my comment like one of the previous ones, but you can also have the courage to respond to it. And this whole post, if you think what you see on the website is solved, I congratulate you on your cheerful approach to customers. Sincerely. Christopher

@cristoff_eaPowiem ci że mnie przestraszyłeś trochę bo też kupiłem na CdKeys. Ale nie mogłem się oprzeć i kupiłem EA Play żeby wcześniej zagrać i teraz się obawiam że z końcem listopada gra mi przestanie działać Xd . a co do ich suportu to śmiech na sali. Celowo wybrali klucze cdkeys chyba bo za tanio sprzedawali 😂 może spróbuj zresetować EaApp kompa może zadziała gra. Bo jest fajna. Ale nie chciał bym jej kupować drugi raz. Jeszcze można jakąś reklamacje spróbować na CdKeys

@MariuszOLmoże tak być ale te klucze nie wzięly sie z kosmosu... Z drugiej strony nie kosztowaly 9 dolarsow jakby powiedziala Panna Derpienski czy jakos tak 🙂, nie byl to price bug, nie znalezlismy ich przy czteropaku kupionym w Żabce. Bylo troche taniej w porownaniu z pozostalym sklepami ale troche... No kruca mam ochote poleciec w komentarzach ale jak nic usuna,,a mam duzo gier w EA... szkoda jednak tych lat... 🙂
