Roadmap? What to expect?

Dear EA/codemasters,

I started with high hopes for this game and anticipated big improvements with the first patch. However, I have downloaded the latest patch and put hours into this game, but I haven't noticed a huge improvement compared to before the patch. While the game is fun and performance is slightly improved in some areas, there are still major issues with screen tearing and framerate drops (I'm on PS5). As of today, compared to previous installments of Dirt Rally and WRC, there are also missing or inferior features.

Can you provide any road map on what improvements the players can expect for this game moving forward? For example, will we ever be able to share liveries? When is the Central European Rally content expected to be released? Will we have a single stage quick play option with seasons and weather options? Are there plans to improve the graphics?

I'm really hoping the game continues to develop for while! Thanks!

Thanks for your reply! I found that information too, but it all seems very vague and doesn't mention adding any features or updating them (like the livery editor). The main points were new Moments, CER at some point, and PC VR support. I just feel like the whole game is a little rushed and unfinished and didn't see much improved with the patch. I would love to hear what the developers are working on and when we could expect updates. I have had some fun with the game and just hope they support it for a while.

  • To be honest, what they add is irrelevant to me,

I played an online multiplayer with my brother half hour ago… all 3 stages had frame drop and tearing.

    was horrible in places.

he said, I don’t think we can go on playing if it’s like this.

it’s just disgraceful it was allowed to release in this state!!

I agree, the performance is a problem.  But this game has potential to be great and it's still very early on. Locking in 60fps with no screen tearing throughout the game should be priority #1. Then there is a long list of smaller stuff that if addressed would bring it up to par. I have seen a bunch of great suggestions on reddit and the boards, a lot of them to just to bring stuff back up to the level of DR2.0 or WRCG.  Just posting a road map to let the fans (who are an enthusiastic bunch!) know we are being heard and these issues will be addressed would mean a lot.

If they can get this to a stable 60fps with no tearing the game would be right up there. At its core it’s superb.

it’s performance and bugs letting it down, the actual game itself is absolutely brilliant!
