Summarize your bug After applying the latest 1.4 update and relaunching the game it acted like I was a new user - all of my progress and profile info was wiped out and I am basically starting from scratch again - what gives - do t see anyone else reporting similar issue
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? N/a
What happens when the bug occurs? Game reset to default/original settings - all progress and profile info lost
What do you expect to see? The game the way it was before applying the update - with the new rally location added

I assume that the update hasn't wiped your save game, but something might be corrupted with the last patch and that's why the game doesn't recognize your older save files.
Could you check if you have saved game files? If you do, can you upload them to the cloud? Once uploaded to the cloud I would recommend you wipe everything from your Xbox regarding EA SPORTS™ WRC and then re-download and re-install it. Then you could try to download your saved game file from the cloud and see if that works.

I have raised this to the team, but it is difficult to investigate as there aren't many reports about this issue.

Thx 4 the reply - I think what happened caught me off guard more than the fact that I really care that it happened. It's not a huge deal to start over again and I don't really care to get back into Career mode anyway. Happy doing Clubs, Moments and Free Play.
I also posted my issue on Instagram and got a couple of replies there about the messaging supplied through the game before the update took place - messaging on how to save information before the update. I kinda skimmed over that and thot it only applied to a narrow range of data, not something that would wipe out your profile and progress. So I'm surprised that you are saying there could be a bug when the other players are inferring it was announced that data would be lost unless you took precaution to write down some information or take a screen shot so you could restore the settings.
If there is another reason as to what happened, and it would be of help to you to provide further info to help figure out, I am glad to do that. Have not checked for any saved data yet or anything else before sending this reply.

Why would you assume that it hasn't corrupted my save files?
Other people are experiencing the same issue.
I did exactly what you described... step by step.... got everything from the cloud, reinstalled... and boom... crashes when I try to resume career.
I just imagine what would happen if the same issue happened to FC24 - you get a mandatory update delivered to you and then all of a sudden your career mode is unplayable
your Ultimate team got wiped. The net would melt down.... but because it's only a minority of players in a title that isn't one of their big ones... it's just "bad luck, fella" for me, I guess.
I DON'T play clubs or online or anything like that - there is never any lobbies or games available... all the rooms are empty so career mode is pretty much all the game offers to me and now it's been made rendered defective for some apparently mystical reason.

Have some people forgot it’s a short week this week and next week then back to normal the week after therefore (plus any patch that needed needs to past the normal channels
