WRC license locations question.

So I have played the last 4 or 5 WRC games by Kylotonn, and now that the WRC license has officially moved to Codemasters, I was excited because the Dirt games in general and Dirt Rally 2.0 etc were excellent.

But I'm a little confused. The locations and the courses are licensed I assume as well, and while I know the games are abbreviated versions of the real world locations, etc. I'm just like... why don't I recognize anything that I've seen in the Kylotonn games. Landmarks that I know So well don't even seem to exist. Granted, I've only been to 5 or 6 countries, but stuff I expect to see is decidedly absent. What gives? Are these real courses or not?

  • Yes, in EA WRC stages are real life counterparts, in KT games they where fictional with some known sections and landmarks.

  • Really? KT was made up? Mind blown. Should have known the real world was more boring, KT stages were great fun,

  • Well... man, I'm suprised by this. I figured if it was licensed it was legit. Yes, you're right. Clearly real-life is more boring, but I guess I knew that...
